Because nothing cleans like a built-in!

People choose built-in vacuum systems,  because they do the best job cleaning. It's as simple as that!

MORE POWERFUL!
Why is this?  Because a built-in vacuum is more powerful.  A portable vacuum must be able to be dragged up and down stairs, and from room to room, therefore only a small motor is practical.  Since the built-in vacuum power unit is mounted on the wall, there is no limit on the size and weight of the motor(s).  Therefore, a much larger and more powerful motor or multiple motors are is used. This added power results in deeper cleaning, as you are able to move air faster, and with the air, move more dust and dirt.

MOVES DIRT OUT OF YOUR HOME
You will notice a much cleaner home.  To understand why this is so, you must consider one important difference between a portable vacuum and built-in vacuum system.  A portable system sucks air and dirt into its bag or canister.  Every molecule of air which it takes in is returned into the room which you are cleaning. With this air, small particles of dust, pollen, and bacteria are also released back into the room, where they can cause allergy and hay fever problems.

The built-in vacuum system also takes in the air and dirt, but instead re-circulating dust, it takes it to a remote sealed collection tank away from your living area. No dirty air goes back into your home. The built-in vacuum system doesn't re-circulate dust again and again, it gets rid of it. All of the air is double filtered before being exhausted in your garage, basement, outside closet, or vented out of doors.

ROOMS STAY CLEANER WITH LESS EFFORT
Because of this, you enjoy a cleaner and healthier home. Your home not only gets cleaner faster - it stays that way. Your new home will remain clean and new longer. In an older home you will immediately notice a pleasing difference, as your home will be much cleaner, and you will not need to vacuum as often. If you have pets you will be amazed at the amount of animal hair which your old portable left behind.

SOME MORE BUILT-IN ADVANTAGES
• Rather than lugging a heavy portable vacuum from room to room, and up and down stairs, you carry a light-weight plastic hose which weighs only 3-4 pounds.
• Cleaning stairways and draperies is no longer a problem.
• There is no long electric cord to tripover or drag around.
• The powerful vacuum motor is located away from the living area, therefore you no longer have vacuuming noise. You can now hear the telephone, doorbell, children crying, listen to music, and you can be heard without shouting.
• A built-in vacuum has the extra power to pick up pet hair and debris which portables leave behind. This prolongs the life of your carpeting and furniture.
• Because of the large dirt canister, the bag only needs to be changed a few times per year.
• You will no longer have the problem of your heavy vacuum cleaner banging the furniture and walls.
• A built-in vacuum will actually add to the value of your home, and serves as an excellent selling feature.
• The vacuum inlet at the unit or in the garage allows you to vacuum your cars and boats with unmatched power.

A BUILT-IN IS MORE AFFORDABLE AND ECONOMICAL
The cost of a built-in vacuum is surprisingly affordable. Many people think that a product like this would be very expensive, and only for the wealthy. However, when you look at the complete picture, you will find that a Built-in vacuum costs less than a portable. Actually, an average home can have a system installed for less cost than some of the high end portables.
Since the built-in vacuum uses larger and more durable motors than portables, they will last longer. When you consider the fact that portables are replaced on average every few years, and you add up the continued costs of replacement, you can easily see the built-in vacuum advantage.  To this, add in the fact that your carpet, furniture and draperies will last longer due to the fact that they are kept cleaner with the built-in vacuum.
Also, when you figure in the health benefits of a cleaner and healthier home, free of the dust, pollen, and germs spewed out by a portable. Your conclusion will be that a Built-in vacuum is your best buy. So you can enjoy a cleaner and healthier home, spending less time cleaning, for no more than the price of a bulky, noisy, dust spewing, hard to store portable. Its as simple as that! In short, nothing cleans like a properly installed built-in.

DUST MITES and ALLERGIES

One of the most strongly allergenic materials found indoors is house dust, often heavily contaminated with the fecal pellets and cast skins of House Dust Mites. Estimates are that dust mites may be a factor in 50 to 80 percent of asthmatics, as well as in countless cases of eczema, hay fever and other allergic ailments. Common causes of allergy include house dust mites, cat dander, cockroach droppings and grass pollen.  The house dust mite is tiny, anout 0.3mm.  It has a life span of about four months. During its life, it will produce about 200 times its weight in excrement and will lay up to 300 eggs.

The application of frequent vacuuming as a dust control measure is more likely to aggravate allergic asthmatic conditions because conventional vacuums are very "inefficient." Dust collection by conventional vacuums results in a significant increase in air borne dust concentrations.( Ohio State University Extension Fact Sheet:  House Dust Mites, by William F. Lyon http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2157.html) UC Davis Study:

A study conducted by the University of California-Davis School of Medicine states that use of a central vacuum system can greatly reduce allergy and asthma symptoms.

The study led by Drs. M. Eric Gershwin and Stanley Naguwa examined the symptoms of 25 individuals over six months. Half the participants used their own conventional vacuum cleaners in their homes for 12 weeks. The other half used a Central Vacuum System. Each group changed from using a conventional vacuum to a central vacuum system or vice versa for another 12 weeks.

Specifically, the study showed that when participants used a built-invacuum system, there was:

a 44 percent improvement in sleep-related symptoms

a 47 percent improvement in nasal symptoms

a 48 percent improvement in non-nasal symptoms

a 61 percent improvement in both emotional - and eye symptoms.

Respondents also reported a 52 percent reduction in practical problems and 46 percent stated they experienced less impact on normal daily work or leisure activity during the period when they used the central vacuum system in their homes. Eliminate the Problem

The advantage of the Central Vacuum is that it is 3-5 times more powerful than a conventional vacuum, so it has more ability to lift the dirt, dust, dust mites along with their waste from carpets, floors, and furniture.

Furthermore, a Central  Vacuum removes this harmful debris  from the living space of your home, forever.
